ACTIONS
Moves Qi. Dries Dampness. Transforms Phlegm. Drying herb. Regulates the Qi, increases the transporting function of the Sp, adjusts the middle, relieves diaphragm. Helps to prevent stagnation. Helps other herbs to move in their direction. Drying herb.


INDICATIONS
Stuck Sp Qi - pain.
Non Physical: person is burdened by possibilities. Non-transformation phase becomes separated from yourself: obscured, confusion, disorientation, delusions, clouded consciousness, hallucinations, no contact with reality.


CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Dry cough due to Yin xu or Qi xu.
Caution when Tongue is red and hot, accompanied with dry Heat coughs, or with Phlegm. Spitting of blood.
