ACTIONS
Moves the Qi of Xue. Invigorates Xue, promotes movement of Qi. Expels Wind (leading herb for any External Pathogenic Factor disorder), alleviates pain. Goes to the surface and head.


INDICATIONS
Itching, rashes (Wind), headache due to Wind, Heat, Cold, Xue xu.
Pain and soreness in chest, flanks, hypochondrium. Gynaecology: Irregular and/or painful menses, dysmenorrhoea, amenorrhoea, difficult labor, lochioschesis.


CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Yin xu with Heat signs, headaches due to ascendant Li Yang, Qi xu, excessive menstrual bleeding.
Overdosage causes vomiting and dizziness.
Antagonizes Fr Corni Officinalis/Shanzhuyu, Rx Astragali Membranacea/Huangqi.
Counteracts Talcum/Huashi, Rh Coptidis/Huanglian.
Incompatible with Rh et Rx Veratri/Lilu.
