ACTIONS
Moves Qi in Li-meridian: mainly breast/chest/flanks. Spreads Li Qi, breaks up stagnant Qi. Dries dampness and transforms Phlegm. Drying herb.
Dissipates lumps, reduces stagnation. Recently used for raising blood pressure.
Lets anger out, makes more angry.


INDICATIONS
Distension and pain in the chest, breast, hypochondriac pain, hernial pain. Food stagnation with accumulation leading to pain. Masses of Qi stagnation progressing to Xue stagnation. Phlegm-Dampness with malarial disorders. Breast abscesses.


CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Cautious in cases of Q xu.
