Properties: Sweet. Slightly warm
Channels: Ht, Ki, Li


ACTIONS
Main herb for any Ki problem. Tonifies Ki Yin and Jing, also tonifies Li Jing. Most moistening, tranquil, quiet, darkest herb; goes to the part that does not move at all.
Important tonifying Xue herb. Tonifies Yin of the Xue.
Increases Dampness (is juicy and stands still). Does not reduce pain, because it does not move.
Does not treat excesses. Strengthens "Yin-Will".


INDICATIONS
Ki Jing disorders from childhood to old age. Xue xu patterns related to gynecology. Night sweats, nocturnal emissions, steaming bone disorders, wasting & thirsting.
Low Back Pain, etc. (Xue xu and Jing xu patterns).
Fear (too much "Yang-Will" or too little "Yin-Will"). Helps the change of Physical Jing into Wisdom.


CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Sp- and/or St xu, stagnant Qi or Phlegm. Overuse can lead to abdominal distension and loose stools.
