ACTIONS
Breaks up stagnant Sp Qi and reduces accumulation. Transforms Phlegm, expels local distension. Directs Qi downwards, unblocks bowels. Recently used to raise blood pressure.


INDICATIONS
Epigastric pain or abdominal pain and distension with focal distension, stagnant Qi. Distension with a shape on a fixed location. Phlegm obstructing Qi-mechanism creating local distension. Gas/flatulence.


CONTRA-INDICATIONS
During pregnancy, weak Zhen Qi, St-Cold from deficiency.
